The September 11, 2001 terrorism incidents led to legislation
affecting migration in the US and Europe. This seminar will assess
the effectiveness of the laws and procedures enacted to deter
terrorists, their impacts on migration flows and migrant communities,
and their implications for transatlantic
cooperation on migration management. We appreciate the support of
the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the UC Center for
German and European Studies, and the UCSD Center for Comparative
Immigration Studies
